Location and Setting
Preservation Ranch is located in rural northwest Sonoma County within the 300 square mile Gualala River watershed:
- The Property is in a sparsely populated location near the rural communities of Annapolis, Sea Ranch and Gualala. It is surrounded by a mix of smaller (±40 acre) and larger (±300 acre) parcels, some with rural residences.
- The Property is big, accounting for approximately 10% percent of the Gualala River watershed or about 30 square miles out of a total of 300 square miles.
- The Gualala River is the prominent watershed in this part of the County.
- Agriculture, dominated by winegrape growing is one of the main industries in the County, providing a significant economic base both in terms of tax revenue and jobs.
